Burn for Something or Die for Nothing

Finding time for our passions can be difficult. We have so many distractions pulling at us daily and our goals get pushed to the side and often forgotten. Listening to our inner voice helps ground and focus our energy, especially during chaotic times. Taking the time each day to be silent and still, starting with just 10 minutes a day, allows our heart and minds to reset and open space for guidance to flow through us. Healing comes when we can focus on ourselves and not the external world around us. If we are always busy, then we lose sight of our internal pain and struggles. Facing this inner dialogue, and the stories it creates, is necessary to open a healing portal inside us.

Our route forward is not always a straight line. The ebbs and flows (lessons and growth) make our divine dance of life particularly interesting. As we are always evolving, we must allow ourselves to die a little each day, letting go of the old self as we transform into something greater. Evolution results from overcoming our failures. Endurance and persistence allow us to develop that next level mindset. Committing to a goal is the first step, but actual transformation and advancement can be challenging. We must line out the details and use our strength of focus to slowly chip away at the milestones, which can be a daunting process. This is where burnout and quiet quitting rears its ugly head.

Here are some tips to help keep us on track toward our goals:

  1. Have flexible timelines; allow plenty of time and space to change directions as needed. Everything happens in divine timing.
  2. Creativity evolves into more inspiration, so we need to keep our options open and be brave enough to dip our toes into whichever creative outlet is calling on us that day. We just need to ask our hearts, “What will bring me joy at this moment?” In essence, we want to give ourselves joyful breaks and detours, but not lose focus of the primary objective.
  3. Allow spiritual guidance during the process. Keeping our childlike innocence aware of the messages we are receiving from the universe; helps us stay curious about our next great adventure.
  4. The most important step is being our own cheerleader, and sprinting toward the finish line while blocking out the background noise. We must embrace our passions and make space for them every day.

Let’s focus on dismissing the naysayers, breaking the ancestral trauma patterns, and facing the demons from our pasts to awaken the guidance from our higher self. This requires losing the not-self in the process; those shadow parts of ourselves keep us in destructive patterns. They must be faced, embraced, integrated, and released for us to rebirth ourselves anew.
